With the U1 and U2 pay-as-you-go schemes, we provide employers with targeted relief for special expenses - whether in the event of prolonged illness or during maternity leave. You can find the current contribution rates and all information at a glance here.

U1 levy - support in the event of illness

The U1 procedure is aimed at companies with up to 30 employees. It cushions your costs in the event of sickness-related absences from work - available in three reimbursement variants:

U2 levy - Safely through pregnancy

All employers are obliged to participate in the U2 pay-as-you-go scheme. It ensures 100% reimbursement of expenses for maternity and employment bans.

  • Reimbursement rate: 100%
  • Contribution rate 2025: 0.45 %

From 01.01.2025: Employer contributions to social insurance will also be reimbursed in full - in the amount of the contributions actually paid.

Mandatory for all employers:

  • Contribution rate 2025: 0.15 %
